After scoring a career high 31 points last night, Monday, March 12, 2012 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey for the New Jersey Nets vs the Milwaukee Bucks, Kris Humphries is now averaging 13.6 points per game this season. That is 3.6 points per game higher than Kris Humphries has ever averaged in a season in the NBA over his eight year career.

Kris Humphries Scored Career High 31 Points
Humphries also grabbed 18 rebounds in last night's game, which the Nets lost, 105-99, playing without all-star point guard Deron Williams, who is out with a strained calf muscle. The 18 rebounds Humphries grabbed improved his rebounds per game average on the season to 10.7. That too is the highest rebounding average of Kris Humphries NBA career.
It was not a career high in rebounds though. Kris Humphries career high in rebounds in a game is 23, which he accomplished on March 23, 2011 playing for the Nets vs the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Humphries also had a 19 rebound game earlier this season vs the Philadelphia 76ers, and another 18 rebound game vs the Chicago Bulls. The Nets pulled off big upsets winning both of those games.
Without Deron Williams, the Nets are going to have trouble just getting wins, let alone upsets. I've been a Nets fan since the team moved to New Jersey in 1977, and I watch all the games. Deron Williams has missed the last two games, and the Nets played well in both games opening up double digit leads, but could not hang on for wins vs the Houston Rockets on Saturday, March 10, 2012, or in last night's Bucks game.
Kris Humphries is Averaging Career Highs in Points and Rebounds per Game in 2012 for New Jersey Nets
Kris Humphries though is playing great for the Nets and having a career year. Averaging 13.6 points and 10.7 rebounds per game, Humphries is only one of eight players in the NBA averaging a points/rebounds double-double on the season. Humphries has 18 double-doubles on the season, after having 29 last year.
Kim Kardashian Divorce Not Affecting Kris Humphries Play
Kris Humphries was a free agent after the 2011 season. In the summer he married reality TV star Kim Kardashian and then she divorced him 72 days later. That earned Humphries the scorn of many and he's been booed a lot this season in opposing arenas. None of that has stopped Humphries from having a career year so far this season.
Kris Humphries Playing for a Contract in 2012
The Nets gave Kris Humphries a one year $8 million dollar contract for the 2012 season. So Kris Humphries is playing this season to try and get another big contract after the season. That may be why he is motivated to be having a career year in 2012. Whatever the reason, Kris Humphries is having a career year for the New Jersey Nets in 2012.
