(CBS News) Hardcore fans of "The Hunger Games" began camping out in Los Angeles over the weekend ahead of the highly-anticipated film's world premiere.
The first 400 fans lined up at 6 a.m. on Sunday morning were allowed into the space outside the Nokia Theatre,
KTLA reports. They will receive wristbands to attend the Monday night premiere.

Those fans set up camp in tents, sleeping bags and folding chairs outside the venue and will hold court there until Monday afternoon, when they'll have to clear out to make way for the red carpet, according to the report.
Those hoping to get a glimpse of the film's stars found the odds in their favor - several cast members, including Jennifer Lawrence, who plays heroine Katniss Everdeen, stopped by to say hello on Sunday.
"I knew people were camping out, and I couldn't not come," the actress told the
Los Angeles Times. "When the first 'Harry Potter' came out, I would have camped out - absolutely. By the time I was 13, I had read the book three times. If I grew up in England, I would have been that person."
Lawrence, along with co-stars Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson, have been on a
cross-country mall tour to promote the film. The week-long, eight-city stint wrapped up on Saturday in Seattle.
"The Hunger Games" will be released in theaters on March 23.
