It's pretty clear by now that the New York Giants have gotten under Woody Johnson's skin.

The New York Jets' owner can't stand that the team he shares a stadium with has won two Super Bowl titles since 2008, so he does everything in his power to steal the local headlines to get his team maximum newspaper ink in New York.
Here's a look at the top five moments that turned the New York Jets franchise into a circus since Woody Johnson bought the team in 2000:
1) Signing Brett Favre, 2008
The Jets had a solid quarterback in Chad Pennington heading into the 2008 season, but he was acquired by the Miami Dolphins after New York decided to make a trade for Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre.
Favre, a true NFL legend, was perhaps the brightest star in the sport at the time, as the national media simply could not get enough of him. Thousands of fans packed into Hofstra University's athletic complex in August of 2008 to catch a glimpse of Favre's first practice with the Jets, and the media circus continued throughout the season.
Favre got the Jets off to an 8-3 start, but losing four of five to close out the year resulted in a missed playoff opportunity.
2) Hiring Rex Ryan, 2009
The Jets made a splash again in 2009 by hiring the bold, brash Rex Ryan for the vacant head coaching position. Johnson loves when his team gets media exposure, and Coach Ryan never failed to provide headlining-grabbing quotes that would ultimately fill the local New York newspapers for years to come.
3) Trading for Tim Tebow, 2012
Despite signing Mark Sanchez to an extension, the Jets made the ill-advised decision to make a trade for Tim Tebow in 2012.
Former Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow might not help the Jets win many games, but he will undoubtedly aid the team in selling jerseys, tickets and personalized seat licenses. While Tebow represents some serious dollar signs, no one can deny that he has extremely limited passing abilities.
4) Holding A Press Conference For Tim Tebow, 2012
The New York Giants recently took a jab at the Jets for their ridiculous decision to hold a press conference to introduce a backup quarterback.
Giants president and co-owner was asked if New York was big enough for the New York Giants and Tim Tebow, and his hilarious response was "I don't know, but the David Carr's press conference is tomorrow afternoon, too."
5) Frat-House Behavior, 2010
The Jets received plenty of media attention in 2010 for all the wrong reasons.
First, TV Azteca sports reporter Ines Sainz reportedly received catcalls and had football thrown in her direction from Jets players during a practice. In other off-the-field issues that occured that season, Braylon Edwards was arrested in Manhattan for driving drunk and Rex Ryan was fined $50,000 for making an obscene gesture to Miami Dolphins fans at a mixed martial arts event in Florida.
