Contributor Network This weekend NASCAR drivers head to Martinsville, Virginia and the Martinsville Speedway where Sprint Cup Series drivers will race in the Goody's Fast Relief 500 on Sunday, April 1, 2012. If you'll be attending this fun and exciting event, here is a guide to help you make the most of your experience. Martinsville Speedway Wikimedia CommonsPublic Domain Tickets Tickets for the Goody's Fast Relief 500 are still available as of Wednesday afternoon, March 28, and range from $37-$79 per adult. Although travel packages have sold out, there are still other special deals to be had. Children's tickets are just $10 and for just $129 you can purchase a family four pack that includes admission for two adults and two children 18 and under as well as coupons for four hot dogs and for four Pepsi Products. Schedule On Saturday, March 31, fans can watch Sprint Cup qualifying as well as the Kroger 250 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race that kicks off at 1:30 p.m. EDT. On Sunday, April 1, gates will open at 9 a.m. EDT with driver introductions for the Goody's Fast Relief 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup race taking place at 12:30 p.m. EDT. The Sprint Cup Series race will wave the green flag at 1 p.m. EDT. The Speedway According to the stadium's current guidelines, fans are allowed to bring a soft-sided bag or cooler that is up to 14 X 14 X 14 into the stadium. It must be able to fit underneath your seat; therefore, coolers with wheels or long handles will not be accepted. Binoculars, cameras and scanners are all okay, but no strollers or umbrellas are allowed. Use common sense, or if you're unsure, check the current site guidelines. Camping Camping is a great way to enjoy a weekend of NASCAR, and the majority of campsites at Martinsville Speedway are general admission. Those sites can be purchased in advance or at the Campground Entrance once you arrive. The General Admission fee is $100 for the entire stay with the campground opening on Saturday, March 24. This is also a great way to avoid the congestion of traffic just before the race to assure that you won't miss the start. Parking and directions All parking at the speedway is free. Don't forget to allow plenty of extra time to get to the track as congestion is almost always a factor. Visit the Martinsville Speedway site for a detail map with directions, as well as special state police recommended routes. Martinsville, Virginia is located in southern Virginia about an hour from both the Roanoke, Virginia and Greensboro, North Carolina airports. K.C.
